Precision Earthwork For Every Project

Grading & Excavation

We move earth with precision — shaping your site for proper drainage, foundation work, and build-ready surfaces.

What This Service Includes

Grading and excavation is what turns a cleared site into a buildable one. The ground has to be shaped correctly — proper slope for drainage, level pads for foundations, channels for water to move away from structures. Done wrong, it causes problems for everything built on top of it.

We grade residential lots, driveways, building pads, and drainage swales. We also handle excavation for foundations, utility trenches, ponds, and site features. Every cut and fill is made with the finished grade in mind — not just what looks level today.

We work from site plans when they're available, and we can work from a basic scope of work when they're not. Either way, we communicate clearly about what we're doing and why before we start moving dirt.

What To Expect

Scope & Plan

We review your site plan or discuss your drainage and grading goals before any work begins.

Earthwork

We cut, fill, and shape the site according to plan — checking grade as we go, not just at the end.

Finished Surface

You get a graded site that drains correctly and is ready for the next phase — whether that's foundation work, paving, or seeding.

Is This The Right Service?

This service is right for new construction lots, properties with drainage problems, sites needing a level building pad, or any project where the existing ground needs to be reshaped before building.

If your site only needs surface clearing without significant earthmoving, land clearing or forestry mulching may be a better starting point. We're happy to assess your situation and recommend the right sequence.

What Affects The Cost

01

Volume Of Material Moved

The more earth that needs to be cut or filled, the more time and equipment required.

02

Site Conditions

Rocky soil, poor access, or heavily uneven terrain takes more time to work than open, accessible ground.

03

Whether Fill Material Is Needed

If your site needs fill brought in to reach finished grade, that material cost is separate from the grading labor.

Common Questions

Do I need a site plan before you can grade?

Not always. For simple residential grading we can work from a basic scope. For larger or more complex projects, a site plan helps us grade to the right elevations.

Can you fix drainage problems on an existing property?

Yes. Regrading to correct drainage issues is one of the most common jobs we do. We assess where water is going and reshape the grade so it goes where it should.

Do you haul excess dirt away?

Yes. If your site generates more cut material than fill needed, we can arrange removal. That's factored into the quote upfront.
